In Rostov-on-Don, Oleg Gagiev, organizer of resonant murders, sentenced to life imprisonment
The North-Caucasian District Military Court pronounced the verdict in the criminal case against Oleg Gagiev, who was accused of organizing and leading the grouping, which had committed several resonant crimes in the territory of North Ossetia.
Oleg Gagiev was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment to serve his sentence at a penal colony of special regime. He was also sentenced to a fine amounted to one million roubles.
According to investigators, in December 2007, Oleg Gagiev created in North Ossetia an organized stable armed grouping, which had committed a number of resonant murders in the republic. In particular, the members of the grouping assassinated Vitaly Karaev, Mayor in Vladikavkaz, and Kazbek Pagiev, ex-Mayor of Vladikavkaz.
