ICRF: lawyer Magomed Guchuchaliev was shot dead by two gunmen

As reported by the press service of the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), the attack on the Dagestani lawyer Magomed Guchuchaliev was committed by two criminals.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 12 in a suburb of Makhachkala, unidentified persons shot dead the lawyer Magomed Guchuchaliev, the father of Sirazhudin Guchuchaliev, who was detained by power agents on May 31 in the village of Leninkent and declared by the local MIA the leader of the "Makhachkala" terrorist grouping. Earlier, a law enforcement source stated that Guchuchaliev "had betrayed the Mayor of Makhachkala Said Amirov and reported about his links with the Mayor." Said Amir was detained and convoyed to Moscow on the following day, on June 1.

According to the press service of the ICRF, the lawyer was attacked on July 12. Two unidentified persons opened a pistol fire at him; at that moment Magomed Guchuchaliev was in front of his house in Abdullaev Street in the village of Semender, a suburb of Makhachkala.

"Guchuchaliev received eight gunshot wounds, including one to his head and died on the spot. Two assailants fled," the "Interfax" quotes the spokesman of the ICRF as saying.

He added that several versions of the crime are considered but gave no details.
