Chechnya deports six illegal Vietnamese migrants
Six Vietnamese nationals, who illegally stayed and worked in the territory of Chechnya, were deported from the republic. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" at the local department of the Federal Bailiffs' Service (FBS).
"All six Vietnamese nationals illegally stayed in the territory of the Chechen Republic and worked there in violation of immigration laws," an official from the Chechen FBS Department has stated.
According to the official, since the beginning of this year, in Chechnya, the FBS Department has identified more than 600 cases of violations of immigration laws. "Since the beginning of the year, we have detained more than 300 persons. Most of them are migrant workers from Vietnam and China, and there are also citizens of the republics of Central Asia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. During recent ten months, 48 illegal immigrants have been deported from the republic," the official from the Chechen FBS Department has emphasized.
"In recent years, the problem of illegal immigration became quite serious at our place, and every year, the number of illegal immigrants is growing," said an official from the Department of the Federal Migration Service (FMS).
Most persons who violate immigration laws are punished only by fines and warnings.
