Two law enforcers killed during CTO in Nazran

Today, at 6:30 a.m. Moscow time, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced within a part of the territory of the city of Nazran. Law enforcers cordoned off a private house in Abadiev Street. Two militants who were blocked in the house refused to surrender and were killed in the shootout. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies.

The National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has confirmed the information about victims in the course of the special operation in Nazran. According to law enforcers, the number of the killed men includes two suspected militants and two fighters of the special forces of the Russian FSB.

No civilians suffered as a result of the special operation, and residents of the houses adjacent to the place of the special operation were evacuated, the "Interfax" reports with reference to the information centre of the NAC.

At present, the active phase of the special operation in Nazran is completed, and law enforcers began parsing the rubble of the house in which the militants were hiding, reports a source from the Ingush law enforcement bodies as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".
