MfE's combat engineers defuse two air bombs in Chechnya
In Grozny, experts from the Rostov Centre of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) have defused an unexploded air bomb. Another shell was liquidated in the mountainous Vedeno District.
On September 19, an unexploded air bomb was found by local residents, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by an official from the Chechen MfE.
"According to the experts, a half-ton bomb was dropped on the city at the beginning of the second military campaign in the republic. The bomb was taken to a military training range and destroyed by undermining," the Chechen MfE's official said.
Besides, combat engineers have also defused an air bomb found in the vicinity of the district centre of Vedeno.
Starting from April, Chechnya has renewed the clearing of its territory from explosive objects. This year, combat engineers are engaged in clearing forest land in a number of mountainous and foothill areas.
According to the MfE for Chechnya, during recent eight months of 2017, combat engineers neutralized seven air bombs in different regions of the republic.
