Social network users demand to punish Ingush resident for consent of his daughter's circumcision

The mother of the nine-year-old girl who was circumcised in Ingushetia has turned for help to the republic's ombudsperson. In the opinion of social network users, the girl's rights were violated, while the father deserves the most severe punishment.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that rights defenders from the "Legal Initiative" demanded to check the clinic and bring it to justice. However, the clinic bosses Magas deny that they do female circumcisions.

The story of the girl's circumcision in Ingushetia has caused a lot of angry comments in social networks. Many users demanded that not only the doctor and the clinic bosses, but also the father of the circumcised girl should be held accountable.

"Even animals don't scoff at their offsprings like that. I don't know this in wild nature ... The father is very sick in his head," Igor Ivanov has written.

Let us remind you that the circumcision of the girl in Ingushetia also triggered anger of Russian feminists. Russian authorities should react to the continued practice of female genital mutilation in Northern Caucasus, subscribers to feminist publics in social networks have stated.
