Krasnodar journalist Alipat Sultanbegova suspected of discrediting Russian army

The police drew up a protocol against Alipat Sultanbegova, a journalist from Krasnodar, on discrediting the Russian Armed Forces because of her post in stories a pacifist slogan.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on February 25, policemen detained Alipat Sultanbegova after she laid flowers at the monument to Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko on the anniversary of the start of the special military operation in Ukraine. According to the Krasnodar journalist, the policemen read to her the biography of Stepan Bandera and switched “patriotic” songs for listening.

The police detained Alipat Sultanbegova on Wednesday, the human rights project “OVD-Info”* reported. After a protocol on discrediting the Russian Armed Forces had been drawn up, the journalist was released.

The reason for the police to draw up the protocol was a post of Alipat Sultanbegova on a page in Instagram**, where a girl was depicted with a pacifist drawing in her hands, reports the publication “Sota.Vision”, where Alipat Sultanbegova works. It was reported about schoolgirl Masha Moskalyova, whose father was charged with discrediting the Russian Armed Forces because of his post on the social media. On March 1, Aleksei Moskalyov was detained, and his daughter Masha was taken to an orphanage. On March 28, a court sentenced Aleksei Moskalyov to two years of imprisonment in a penal colony.

Let us remind you that in March 2022, Alipat Sultanbegova said that she had served her arrest twice within a month: the first time – for 20 days, and the second tome – for 10 days. In February of the same year, the Krasnodar journalist was detained at a protest action against the special military operation in Ukraine.
