Suicide bomber attacks DPS post in Ingushetia

Tonight, a suicide bomber blew himself up at the block post of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) located near the village of Yandare near the city of Nazran. According to law enforcers, one of his helpers was killed in a shootout.

The information about those wounded during the attack on the post varies. Thus, at 7:43 p.m. the TASS reported, referring to a "republic's medical source," that four DPS employees were wounded, and one of them later died.

On the other hand, according to the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), there were two wounded DPS inspectors. "Two policemen were wounded, one of them died; firearms, ammunition and an improvised explosive device (IED) stuffed with striking elements were found at the place of the shootout," the "Interfax" quoted the NAC at 8:31 p.m.

According to the NAC, none of the civilians was hurt during the attack on the DPS block post near the village of Yandare.
