Nephew of head of Ingushetia found dead

A hunting rifle was found on February 6 next to the body of Khasan Evkurov. His relatives have stated an accident caused by careless handling the rifle.

The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Evkurov, who is now abroad, was informed about the death of his nephew, the RBC (RosBusinessConsulting) reports.

According to preliminary data, the man killed himself because of careless handling the rifle, said his relative. "In the evening, Khasan Evkurov sat down to clean his hunting rifle and accidentally made a shot," the TASS quotes the source as saying.

The RIA "Novosti" reports that a regional law enforcement source has added that Khasan Evkurov is a son of the elder brother of the head of Ingushetia. Earlier he worked in the security service of his high-ranking relative; then – in the "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard) regiment stationed in the outskirt of Nazran; and several months ago he was dismissed because of the staff reduction, the "360" TV Channel reports.

According to the data of the TV Channel, Yunus-Bek Evkurov is now in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
