Death of a military in Syria caused questions from Ingush social network users

The funeral of Ramzan Geroev, who perished in the crash of a Russian military aircraft in Syria, was held today in Ingushetia. Internet users are negative to the participation of Ingush servicemen in the Middle East conflict.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the An-26 crashed in Syrian Khmeimim on March 6. All the 39 militaries on board perished; three residents of the Krasnodar Territory among them.

The 38-year-old Ramzan Geroev served in Syria as sergeant-major, the press service of the head of Ingushetia has reported.

"It was decided to name the school in his native village of Nesterovskoye after Geroev," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the authorities.

"He was dedicated to his duty and oath; eternal memory of all those who perished; I am sure they have performed with dignity their duty to the homeland and the people of Syria," the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Evkurov, wrote in his Instagram.

Social network users have ambiguously commented on his words.

"What did he do there?" asks the user with the nickname desert_eagle_calibre_50.
