"Novaya Gazeta" reports about man suspected of attempt on Osmaev and Okueva
A citizen of Ukraine, taken in custody in Kiev on suspicion of attempting to assassinate Chechen native Adam Osmaev and his wife Amina Okueva in June 2017, introduced himself as Russian citizen Arthur Krinari and pleaded not guilty, the edition reports on May 21.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 1, 2017, in Kiev, an assassination attempt was committed against Chechen native Adam Osmaev and his wife Amina Okueva. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), an assassinator "under the guise of a foreign journalist got into the confidence of Adam Osmaev and Amina Okueva" and wounded Adam Osmaev from a pistol, but himself was wounded by Amina Okueva. An assassination attempt was committed by Chechen native Arthur Denisultanov (Kurmakaev), also known as "Dingo", who was involved as a suspect in the case of the assassination in Vienna of Umar Israilov, a Ramzan Kadyrov's personal bodyguard, several Ukrainian and Russian editions reported earlier with reference to their sources.
On April 17, when in Kiev, the court was considering the extension of the arrest for Alexander Dakar, a native of Odessa and a citizen of Ukraine, suspected of attempting to assassinate Adam Osmaev and Amina Okueva, the suspect introduced himself as Russian citizen Arthur Abdullaevich Krinari, the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta" reported on May 21 in its article "Paris. Dakar".
"In future, I intend to speak only Chechen and demand the translation of the case materials into the Chechen language. And I'm not Dakar, not a citizen of Ukraine. But I'm Russian citizen Krinari! And you are not able to mention any motive which would have made me kill Okueva and Osmaev, since no such motive ever existed!" said the suspect as quoted by the "Novaya Gazeta".
