On June 4-10, three persons fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week from June 4 to June 10, in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus, at least three persons were killed. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

According to law enforcers, the three casualties were linked to the armed underground in Ingushetia.

Special and counterterrorist operations

On June 5, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was lifted in the Tsumadin District of Dagestan.

On June 8, during a CTO conducted in Ingushetia, in the village of Altievo, two alleged militants were blocked in a private house. Nazran, the capital of Ingushetia, was put under the CTO regime. The blocked persons were offered to surrender, but opened fire on law enforcers. According to eyewitnesses, as a result, two guys and their mother were killed, while the father of the alleged militants was taken out of the house by law enforcers. He is alive, but his whereabouts is unknown. According to local residents, the private house belongs to the Police Colonel Ali Ozdoev; and all the casualties are members of the Ozdoev family, where one of the sons was seriously ill. Neighbours describe the Ozdoev family as "decent." none of them was ever seen involved in any illegal activities. Law enforcers took the father away, and, according to their information, killed two brothers and their mother. One of the neighbours has added that local residents saw no fire from inside the house, contrary to law enforcers' statement. Local residents treat the CTO as a staged operation.

Kidnappings

On June 8, law enforcers surrounded the house of Ibragim Aliev, a 29-year-old resident of Nazran. They drove Ibragim's wife out of the house; and kept their four children inside for an hour. They searched the house and the yard.

In the course of the search, law enforcers took out some "flask" from the refrigerator, although, according to the wife of the owner of the house, there was no such article there before the law enforcers' visit. Then, in the barn, they "found" some pots with wires sticking out of them, and an object resembling a grenade, Sultan Aliev, Ibragim Aliev's cousin, has stated.

Then, they drove Ibragim Aliev into the yard, roped his hands and began beating him up, demanding to declare the found items as his property, but he refused. After that, they forced him to sign some document and took him away. The also wanted to take away the pregnant Ibragim's wife, but then allowed her to stay.

On June 8 and 9, relatives and an advocate could not find Aliev.
