Video with detainee's repentance in Dagestan causes indignation among Instagram users

Social network users criticized the police of Dagestan for making public an apology from an author of a video about a street conflict between law enforcers and local residents. Many users of the social networks also called on the police to post apologies from the policemen for foul language they used as the video showed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 1, a video was posted in the Instagram account of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan in which a local resident apologized for foul language when shooting a street conflict between local residents and policemen.

By 2:03 Moscow time on March 2, the post in the Instagram account of the Dagestani MIA got 96,700 views, and 1469 comments were posted under it.

Some authors of new comments criticized the Dagestani MIA's press service for posting a video with apologies. "I wonder if the law provides for apologies and forced public apologies in social networks?" asked, in particular, user klimat.pro_05.

A significantly larger number of social network users demanded from the Dagestani MIA to post apologies of the policemen who were involved in the conflict.

"I believe that the policemen who used bad language [...] should be the first to apologize," user _abdurahman_2705 wrote. "He used bad words, and you used bad words, but he was the only person who apologized," user ningravi1991 reproached the policemen.
