Attack on law enforcer is the fourth one in Ingushetia since start of year

The shelling of the car of a "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard) serviceman committed in the village of Yandare was preceded by three attacks on law enforcers in the Nazran District this year.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 28, a policeman was wounded and then died when his car was shelled in the village of Yandare, Nazran District. Law enforcers believe that the attackers are associated with extremist organizations.

On June 27, in the village of Surkhakhi, unidentified persons opened fire at a car, after which two people were hospitalized with wounds, including a policeman.

On March 13, as a result of a conflict and shootout in the Ingush village of Ekazhevo, one person was killed and another was kidnapped. Two policemen also suffered when trying to stop the conflict. The shootout broke out among members of two teips (family clans), an Ingush law enforcement source has reported.

In February, during a search in the village of Plievo, a local resident shelled law enforcers and fled. The gunman was Yunus Vidzizhev, a participant in the March protests; the law enforcers did not suffer, sources reported.
