About 40 children brought from Iraq to Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has reported about transporting home 38 children who had been kept in correctional institutions and orphanages in Iraq.

The Azerbaijani MFA has reported about bringing the children from Iraq to their homeland today. It follows from the MFA's press release received by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The 38 children, accompanied by state officials were repatriated to Azerbaijan by the Baghdad-Istanbul-Baku air flight. The Azerbaijani MFA has recalled that a total of 288 Azerbaijani citizens had been repatriated from Iraq – 286 children and two women. However, the MFA's statement fails to explain how the children from Azerbaijan have ended up in the Middle East.
