Combat alert declared in troops of South Ossetia

The troops of South Ossetia declared a combat alert in connection with the situation in Ukraine. All subdivisions of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) should stay in barracks, being ready to move to the areas of concentration, announces Anatoly Bibilov, President of South Ossetia.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that today, Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced the start of a military operation in connection with the situation in Donbass.

The “Rosmorrechflot” (Federal Agency for Marine and River Transport) has announced suspension of shipping on the Sea of Azov. The Russian “SGV-Flot” and “SerafimSarovsky” cargo ships came under fire, and one crew member was wounded, the FSB Border Guard Service for the Krasnodar Territory reported.

A military alert has been declared in South Ossetia. According to the press service for President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov, the tasks that will come from the Russian Ministry of Defence will also apply to the Ministry of Defence of South Ossetia.
