Oleg Orlov, member of HRC "Memorial"*, accused of violating picketing regulations

After detention at the picket, Oleg Orlov, a board member of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial"*, was released from the police department; a protocol was drawn up against him.

On March 6, in Moscow, law enforcers detained Oleg Orlov with a poster. He said that he was taken to the police station along with other protesters against the military operation in Ukraine.

Later, Mr Orlov was released from the police station with a protocol on violating the order of picketing.

Svetlana Gannushkina, the head of the "Civic Assistance" Committee*, was also detained; she was released after a protocol on violating the order of picketing was drawn up against her. Ms Gannushkina herself stated that she had not participated in the picket.
