Volgograd painter accused of discrediting army

Volgograd law enforcers have drawn up two protocols against a street painter under an article on discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that activists in the Volgograd Region are periodically held accountable for their pacifist actions. Within the last two months, local courts have made 17 decisions under the above article. In particular, on May 16, Elena Chulanova held a pacifist picket, after which she was arrested for seven days.

Philip Kozlov, a painter, also known under the pseudonym Philippenzo, has suggested that the protocols against him may be related to his pacifist posts in the "VKontakte" social network, the human rights project "OVD-Info"* has reported.
