Alaudinov heads Chechen Security Council

Apti Alaudinov, an assistant to the head of Chechnya for the power bloc, who was earlier dismissed by Putin from the post of the head of the Chechen police, now heads the regional Security Council. Alaudinov, while being in command of the "Akhmat" special unit, "proved himself well" in the military operation in Ukraine, Ramzan Kadyrov has explained.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 17, Ramzan Kadyrov announced that a thousand volunteers from Chechnya had left for Ukraine. They were headed by the above Apti (also referred to as Apty) Alaudinov, the former republic's police boss. Alaudinov is "an experienced fighter, an excellent coordinator of actions," Kadyrov has added.

Apti Alaudinov has been appointed new secretary of the Republic's Security Council on the initiative of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov himself has announced tonight.

The Chechen Security Council "plays a key role in addressing socially significant issues in the region," Kadyrov has explained. "It's necessary to bring the work of such an important body to a higher and more qualitative level. It's important that the Security Council identify problems in various responsibility areas at an early stage and suggest ways to solve them together with other authorities," he wrote, adding that the former head of the Security Council, Alambek Yasaev has been transferred to the post of an assistant to the head of Chechnya.
