Social network users criticize idea to re-educate teens from other regions in Chechnya

A group of troubled teenagers from 15 regions of Russia have arrived in Chechnya for "military-patriotic, spiritual and moral education," the Chechen Ministry of National Policy has reported. It is better for Chechen authorities to take care of the upbringing of Chechen youth, and not try solving others' problems, Instagram* users have indicated.

The above "difficult teenagers" have arrived in Grozny to participate in the military-patriotic shift of the "Caucasus' Forces" – this is a joint project of the head of Chechnya and the Children's Ombudsperson under the President of Russia, the "Chechnya Segodnya" News Agency has informed.

The events for teenagers will be held on November 13-19, said Surkho Munaev, the director of a department of the Chechen Ministry for National Policy. "An extensive programme has been drafted: sports events, military-patriotic and spiritual and moral education. The teens will be very interested. The programme is designed to re-educate children and show them the new value and guidelines of their lives," Mr Munaev has explained.

Teenagers are accommodated in the children's health camp "Gorny Klyuch" (Mountain Spring) located in the village of Avtury.

Authors of some Instagram* comments have criticized the authorities' initiative. "They are unable to bring up their own people, but they still want to re-educate these ones," the user dekorativnyy_kamen has written.

Users also doubt the possibility of influencing the teenagers within such a short time as six days.
