Advocate reports deterioration of Zarema Musaeva’s condition

A Chechen expert was not able to confirm in court his conclusions about the harm to the health of the law enforcer, whom, according to the investigators’ version, was scratched by Zarema Musaeva. An independent expert stated that the conclusions of the first examination were unfounded. In this regard, the defence will seek the appointment of a new examination, says advocate Alexander Nemov. According to him, Zarema Musaeva faces difficulties while walking, and she is constantly given insulin injections.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on December 1, 2022, in court, Zarema Musaeva denied the accusations and confirmed her previous testimony, said her son, lawyer Abubakar Yangulbaev. On December 2, the court extended Zarema Musaeva’s arrest until February 12, despite documents that her condition had worsened. The son of Zarema Musaeva urged Ramzan Kadyrov to release his mother on the terms of an exchange.

Alexander Nemov, an advocate of Zarema Musaeva, stated that his client’s health is deteriorating. “It is hard for my client to walk, to climb stairs. She doesn’t look well. Zarema Musaeva suffers from diabetes … She has no way to receive additional medical treatment in a SIZO (pre-trial prison),” Alexander Nemov emphasized.

The advocate pointed out that the conclusions of the first examination were called into question in court. In this regard, the defence believes that there are grounds for the appointment of a new examination.
