Cancellation of verdict in Tskaev's case is surprise for his widow

Zemfira, the widow of Vladimir Tskaev, a resident of Vladikavkaz, has learned about the cancellation of the verdict in the case of his death from the media. She admitted that she could not imagine such an outcome of the consideration of her complaint.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 7, 2022, the Fifth Court of Cassation sent the case on Vladimir Tskaev's death to the Leninsky District Court of Vladikavkaz for a new trial.

The news about the annulment of the sentence came as a complete surprise to Zemfira Tskaeva. She has admitted that she is ready to go through everything again, despite the fact that she'll have to go court again and see defendants' faces.

Let us remind you that in April 2022, the Supreme Court (SC) of North Ossetia commuted the sentences of six policemen - four of them were released due to the statute of limitations; and for two others the SC reduced the prison terms. On November 8, 2022, Spartak Buzoev and Alan Bigaev, convicted in the case of Tskaev's death after torture by the police, were released on the conditional early relief (CER). In December 2022, another convict, Soslan Sitokhov, applied for the CER.

The trial of Tskaev's death case lasted for more than two years. According to Zemfira Tskaeva, the defendants' advocates dragged out the trial in every possible way – out of 143 court sessions that were supposed to take place, 73 ones were postponed because of the defendants and their advocates.
