Kadyrov calls on to impose martial law throughout Russia

When commenting on a report about a drone attack on Moscow, Ramzan Kadyrov called on to announce martial law in Russia.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on March 2, Ramzan Kadyrov called for “cruel dealing with all the participants” of an attack in the Bryansk Region and bringing their families to justice. The leader of Chechnya called on, despite the presence of nearby civilian objects, “to bomb all the points” that might be associated with the preparation of the attack and announce martial law “with a maximum level of response” in some regions of Russia. Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov reminded that the decision to announce martial law should be made by the President of Russia.

On May 30, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that eight drones were involved in the attack on Moscow. The Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) instituted a criminal case on the attack and posted an appropriate report on its official website.

“The response to such attempts of attacks should not be tough, the response should be cruel,” Ramzan Kadyrov stated in his Telegram channel.

The leader of Chechnya also voiced an idea of announcing martial law on October 1, 2022, after the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) had decided to withdraw the troops from the town of Krasny Liman because of the threat of their encirclement. When criticizing the Russian MoD, Ramzan Kadyrov proposed imposing martial law in the border areas and using nuclear weapons.
