Dagestani native Murtazaliev’s defence alarmed by his transfer to SIZO
Omar Murtazaliev, a native of Dagestan, was transferred from a penal colony in the Kurgan Region to a SIZO (pre-trial prison) in Shadrinsk without any explanations. His defender suggests that law enforcers likely intend to question Omar Murtazaliev as a witness or incriminate him with a new crime. Earlier, in his video message, Omar Murtazaliev complained about the violation of the prisoners’ rights.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on February 29, the parents of Dagestani resident Omar Murtazaliev complained that the administration of the penal colony in the Kurgan Region regularly placed him in solitary confinement as punishment.
On February 29, Omar Murtazaliev was unexpectedly taken from the penal colony in the Kurgan Region, his advocate reported.
“He has been kept at the SIZO for almost three weeks, but he is not informed why he was brought there, and he is completely in the dark,” Omar Murtazaliev’s advocate emphasized.
Let us remind you that on February 8, in Makhachkala, parents of Dagestani residents, suspected of illegal possession of firearms and participation in armed formations (IAFs), claimed that the cases against the young people were fabricated. The father of Omar Murtazaliev complained that law enforcers tortured his son.
