On April 29-May 5, seven persons killed and four wounded in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
During the week from April 28 to May 5, 2024, five suspected militants and two policemen were killed, and four other policemen were wounded during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. These are the results of the calculations run by the “Caucasian Knot”, based on its own materials and information from other open sources.
On the night of April 29, policemen were attacked in the village of Mara-Ayagy in the Karachai District. Five suspected militants were killed during the attack. The suspects were identified as participants of an attack on policemen in Karachaevsk on April 22.
As a result, Lieutenant Colonel Anton Valikov and Police Sergeant Andrei Artamonov were killed. Three policemen and a fighter of the “Rosgvardiya” (National Guard of Russia) were wounded. The condition of all four wounded is assessed as severe.
