"Rostekhnadzor" gives no cause yet of explosion in Sochi house

Boris Borodin, deputy head of the North-Caucasian Department of the Federal Committee for Technological and Ecological Supervision ("Rostekhnadzor"), has informed that it is too early so far to deal with any reasons of the explosion in an apartment house of Sochi, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Earlier, Takhir Mirgunov, head of the Sochi city "Rostekhnadzor" unit, informed that the gas bottle found in the explosion epicentre had not blown up, although it was full and had no leak evidences.

The "Caucasian Knot" has already informed that the eyewitnesses of the events that had unfolded with the house No. 39 in the Lesnaya Street in the micro-district Blinovo in the Adler District of Sochi, would not believe that an explosion of gas bottle could have ruined concrete flooring of the house.

The tenants of the ruined house have been accommodated already - 104 persons were placed to the "Neptune" Sanatorium, where rooms have all modern conveniences.

The investigatory division of the Russian Investigatory Department under the General Prosecutor's Office for the Adler District of Sochi has opened a criminal case under Article 109 of the Criminal Code ("Causing death by carelessness").

We remind you that the explosion that took place today at 5:01 a.m. in Sochi killed a woman, born in 1941, and her grandson, born in 1993. 16 other victims applied for medical and psychological help. One woman had a hypertonic crisis.

The authorities of Sochi have made a decision to provide 10 million roubles as compensation to the explosion victims.
