Higher schools of Azerbaijan to improve security

After the tragedy in the Azerbaijani State Oil Academy (ASOA) the Republic's authorities made a decision to strengthen security in higher educational establishments of the country, as stated today by Misir Mardanov, Minister of Education of Azerbaijan.

On April 30, at about half past nine in the morning (8:30 a.m. Moscow time), a citizen of Georgia came into the ASOA building, shot dead from his Makarov pistol a security guard and women-cleaners, then, started moving upstairs and opened a chaotic shooting. As a result of this massacre, 13 persons were killed and 13 more wounded. Some agencies have disseminated information about 17 casualties. The criminal shot himself. On him, an identification card was found of citizen of Georgia Fardy Asad ogly Gadirov, born in 1980.

At present, 8 persons are still in hospital: three are stably grave, the others - medium grave, as the "1news.az" writes.
