Ingushetia: investigation into two large corruption cases is over
Under the war on corruption announced the new head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov practically immediately after he took the office, investigation into two most resonant criminal cases is over. Former top managers of large Republic's enterprises are accused of plundering budgetary funds.
Charges of wasting especially huge sums of budgetary funds were presented to Magomed Marziev, former boss of the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) "Kavdolomite" for manufacture of building materials; Ayup Buzurtanov, ex-director general of the Federal SUE "Republic's TV Broadcasting Centre"; and Tsitskiev, S. A., head of the Limited Liability Company (LLC) "Etna". The criminal cases against them have been sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
As reported on May 6 by the Department of the Russian ICPO for Ingushetia, Mr Buzurtanov, while in the post of Director General of the "Republic's TV Broadcasting Centre", in 2006-2007 illegally spent 49 million roubles. According to the investigation, in 2006, for the works on the object of state order "Creation of video monitoring systems, electric illumination of major highways and data transmission networks of the Republic of Ingushetia", the local Ministry of Finance transferred 74,600,000 roubles to the account of the Centre.
The investigation has established that a part of this money, namely, 49,673,000 roubles, was spent to the needs of the enterprise, and only 24,926,000 roubles were used to designation.
Under the same article - "Abuse of authority entailing grave consequences", and under article "Especially huge swindle accomplished by a group of persons under prior plot through abuse of authority", accusation was presented to Magomed Marziev.
Against Mr Tsitskiev, ex-Director General of the LLC "Etna", who acted as contractor, charges were also presented of "Swindle accomplished by an organized group, or in especially large volume".
