Young man kidnapped in Chechnya

On April 28, in the centre of the capital of Chechnya, armed persons in black uniform kidnapped a young man and violently took him away in an unknown direction.

"According to evidences of eyewitnesses, on April 28, in the Leninskiy District of Grozny, in the crossing of the Putin Avenue and Chernyshevskogo Street, agents of unidentified power structures, dressed in black uniform, a young man was kidnapped. The witnesses assert that he was severely beaten and then brought away," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Union of Chechen NGOs.

The Union has noted that passers-by had not dared to stand up for the beaten young man, except for one woman, who has tried to pull him out of power agents' hands, but the latter threatened to open fire.
The spokesman of the law enforcement bodies of Chechnya refused to comment on the incident saying that no applications on Sasurkaev's kidnapping arrived to them.

Black uniform in Chechnya is typical for the special militia regiment named after Ahmat Kadyrov, OMON (special-purpose militia) fighters and a number of other power agencies.
