Case of suspected killers of Gadji Abashilov, Director VGTRK "Dagestan", sent to court
There are two figurants - Elchin Gasanov and Ruslan Gitinomagomedov - in the murder case of Gadji Abashilov, Director of the VGTRK (State TV and Radio Company) "Dagestan". Now, their case is already in the court; as to the customers of the crime, another criminal case will be investigated in this respect.
Ivan Sydoruk, Deputy General Public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation for the Southern Federal District (SFD), has approved the indictment in the criminal case of Elchin Gasanov and Ruslan Gitinomagomedov. They are accused of executing a customized murder of Magomedgadji Abashilov, Director of the VGTRK "Dagestan", a murder attempt on his driver and illegal circulation of firearms.
As reported by the Russian State Office of Public Prosecutor, the investigation established that in March 2008 in Makhachkala Gasanov and Gitinomagomedov, fulfilling an order of unidentified persons, shelled from automatic firearms the service car of the Director of the VGTRK "Dagestan" with Abashilov and his driver inside.
In June 2008, Gasanov and Gitinomagomedov were detained by militiamen in the city of Essentuki, Stavropol Territory, in the course of operative-search actions.
