Tbilisi: shops of Benetton network resume work

On May 29 in Tbilisi, the shops of the Benetton trading network reopened after they were closed on May 25 in protest against the plans of the Turkish representative office of the company to open a shop in Sukhumi.

The Tbilisi-based Benetton office stopped the action after receiving a letter from their Turkish partners that the opening of a shop in the territory of Abkhazia would be suspended.

"The letter of the Turkish representative office of Benetton says that the company would not like to complicate its political and economic relations with Georgia for the sake of its commercial interests," the "Rustavi-2" TV Company has reported.

However, as reported by "Georgia Today" with reference to Georgian sources, a Benetton shop was opened in Sukhumi three weeks ago and continues working.
