Chechen women's appeal to Chechen presidential contenders

Chechen women from the Vaynakh Women's Club "Shovda" appealed to the presidential contenders of the Chechen Republic. Here are an extract from this appeal:

"We appeal to you with a request and a wish not to lose a veritable Chechen spirit, which you inherited from our forefathers - the spirit penetrated with kindness, mutual respect, nobleness, and tolerance. Our weapon is ballot-papers. We will put them into ballot-boxes marking the most decent candidate, whom we will get to know from pre-election struggle. We want to be proud of you in future.

We call upon you to "sheathe daggers" and help us to choose the most deserving one of you. We are tired of this cynical, false war for money."
