Abkhazian delegation initiated that Georgian-Abkhazian meeting in Tbilisi be carried over

On September 23 the Abkhazian delegation initiated that the Georgian-Abkhazian meeting which was to take place in Tbilisi yesterday be carried over. Head of the Abkhazian delegation, Foreign Minister Sergey Shamba informed the correspondent of it. "Such a decision was made because of the absence of security blankets for the Abkhazian delegation members. The itinerary offered by the United Nations Observer Mission in Georgia - by cars across Georgia - did not suit us," said Shamba.

It should be noted that the UN Mission conveys delegations by air in the Mission's helicopters or planes to all negotiations that are held in Sukhumi and Tbilisi.
