Five suspected militants killed in Chechnya
Today in the morning, in southwest and southeast of Chechnya, five persons, who rendered armed resistance to power agents, were liquidated. This was stated by law enforcement bodies of the republic. None of the power agents, who took part in these special operations, suffered, the militia asserts.
"In the morning, at about 8:10, in the Urus-Martan District, some 1.5 km away from the highway connecting Goy-Chu and Alkhazurovo villages, law enforcers detected two armed men. They were offered to surrender, but opened fire from their firearms and were liquidated in the skirmish. Their persons have been established. One of them was a resident of Grozny, the other one - of Gekhi village. Two Kalashnikovs were confiscated from the casualties," one of the militiamen said.
A couple of hours earlier, about five in the morning, in the Shali District, in the motorway between villages Chiri-Yurt and Duba-Yurt, law enforcers were shelled at a attempt to stop a Zhiguli Model 9 car for examination. "By the response fire, three militants who were in the car were killed," the source has added.
