Suspected militant killed in south-west of Chechnya

On July 27, a man who put up armed resistance was killed in the course of a special operation in the mountain district Urus-Martan in Chechnya. The special operation was conducted near the village of Alkhazurovo where search for members of armed units is under way. Efforts to identify the victim are made.

"In response to the order to lay down arms the bandit opened fire. He was killed by a return fire", said representative of Chechen MoIA to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. He added that there were no casualties among the militiamen in the course of the operation.

The interlocutor also stressed that Adam Delimkhanov, Chechen president's adviser and Russian State Duma deputy, exercises direct command of special operations against members of armed underground in the district.

Note that this is already an eighth suspected militant killed during the last three days in the course of special operations conducted in Chechnya.
