UNICEF: murdered Sadulayeva and Dzhabrailov helped in surgery of over 100 children in Chechnya

A source in the Russian representative office of the UNICEF said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Zarema Sadulayeva and her husband Alik Dzhabrailov, assassinated in Grozny, when working in the regional NGO "Let's Save the Generation", were helping children who had suffered from the warfare in the territory of the republic.

"In 2004-2008, the UNICEF rendered, in partnership with the NGO 'Let's Save the Generation', assistance to children-victims of the armed conflict. Thanks to this work, over 100 children were successfully operated on, received their free-of-charge artificial limbs and access to social benefits," a source from the UNICEF said.

Besides, as reported by the Russian UNICEF source, with support of the UNICEF, the NGO "Let's Save the Generation" rendered social-and-psychological help aimed to make children able to overcome the consequences of their psychological traumas and get back to normal life.

"The UNICEF is deeply grieved by and concerned of the murder of Zarema Sadulayeva, head of the NGO 'Let's Save the Generation', and her husband Alik Dzhabrailov. The UNICEF expresses its sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims," runs the today's statement of the UNICEF.
