Editor-in-chief of "Chernovik": sauna in Dagestan was attacked by Shariat adherents

Nadira Isaeva, editor-in-chief of the Dagestan-based edition named "Chernovik" (Blueprint), has stated that the militants' attacks on August 13 on a sauna and a militia post in Buinaksk are interconnected and fit into the general picture of what happens in Dagestan. Its reasons should be looked for in the corruption that reigns in the republic, which forces people to start acting within their own alternative legal environment.

"An issue has remained out of focus: who's the owner of that sauna and why the off-road 'cultural-and-entertaining centre' located at the city exit became the object of the attack? Surely, this sauna couldn't have functioned without militia's 'roof'," Ms Isaeva said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"Otherwise, we'll have to admit that the attack became a consequence of corruption in law enforcement bodies, in particular, in the militia, or murders of visitors and workers of 'hot spots' will continue," the editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik" believes.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent failed to receive any official comments on the links between the attacks on the militia post and sauna in law enforcement bodies of Dagestan, since all the services have been switched over into the reinforced service regime.
