Khazbiev: militiamen-victims of Nazran terror act lack help

On August 26, in Ingushetia, local representative of Russian Ombudsman Magomed Khazbiev was approached by relatives of the Ingush militiamen injured by the terror act in Nazran on August 17 and sent to take their treatment to Rostov-on-Don. According to their story, the militiamen receive insufficient health care; and the conditions, in which they are treated, are "awful".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the terror act at the GUVD (City Interior Department) in Nazran killed 25 persons, and the list of victims counts 262 persons.

"I was approached by relatives of the victims of the explosion at the GOVD building. They said that the wounded persons had been relocated from Rostov-on-Don to Novocherkassk, where they are now kept in awful conditions without any medical aid," the "Interfax" quotes Magomed Khazbiev as saying.

Right after the terror act in Nazran, twelve Ingush militiamen and their three colleagues who came from other regions of Russia, who were wounded in the explosion, were taken out to the military hospital in Rostov-on-Don. However, then, the Ingush militiamen were transported to the medical unit of the Novocherkassk garrison and to one of Rostov hospitals. According to the patients, they were just thrown out of the hospital in Rostov-on-Don.

According to militiamen's relatives, the medical unit in Novocherkassk lacks elementary conditions: there is no water, shower, and toilets are outside. However, three of them are in-bed patients. Two patents have to lie on chairs.

The relatives of the patients kept in Rostov hospitals ask to take them to Ingushetia; however, as they say, the government of Ingushetia would not listen to them, as reported by the "Ingushetia.Ru".
