Seven supposed militants detained during CTO in Kabardino-Balkaria

A source in law enforcement bodies has reported that in the course of a counterterrorist operation (CTO) conducted in the vicinity of Karagach village, Prokhladnenskiy District of Kabardino-Balkaria, seven militants were detained. On August 30, the detainees pointed to the location of seven hiding places.

Earlier the "Caucasian Knot" has reported about detention of three local residents, whose belonging to the searched grouping of militants was being established. According to law enforcement bodies, during a combat skirmish three militants were killed; one of them was a certain Khatay Mansurov, a resident of Azerbaijan, who had a temporary registration in Moscow. One of power agents was slightly wounded.

The "Interfax" adds that this wounded power agent was an assistant of the local district militiaman.

In the course of the investigation, the suspected militants, detained in the Prokhladnenskiy District of Kabardino-Balkaria, showed seven hiding places with arms, where more than 3 thousand cartridges, an anti-tank guided jet shell, two mufflers, a self-made pistol and a hunting rifle were detected, as reported by the "Yuga.Ru".

As of 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on August 29, the CTO regime in Karagach village, Prokhladnenskiy District, was cancelled.
