Baku opens the 11th "East-West" International Film Festival

In the evening on September 18, Baku hosted the opening ceremony of the 11th International Film Festival named "East-West" with participation of prominent movie industry figures from many countries. The festival will last till September 23.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports from Baku that the programme of the festival includes 14 films. According to the tradition, these are the films, which have already taken part in other film festivals.

"The six festival days will be full of meetings with beautiful films and debates on actual problems of the global cinema," said film script writer Rustam Ibragimbekov, President of the Festival.

Traditionally, the festival will award prizes in the following nominations: "For the most humane message viewers", "For contribution to the world cinematography", "For the most womanly image", "For the most manly image" and "For a bright debut".
