Azerbaijani journalist rewarded by Norwegian human rights activists

Malakhat Nasibova, a journalist from Azerbaijan, has received an award of the Norwegian human rights organization named "Rafto Foundation". She was rewarded for her coverage of the events in Nakhichevan.

"For 10 years in a row, the journalist was courageous enough to criticize the authorities and did not give up her fight for the freedom of speech," the "Reuters" quotes the human rights organization.

The "Gazeta.Ru" reports that in the course of their professional work several journalists, Ms Nasibova among them, were pressed by the authorities.
