Dagestan: kidnapped Dzhigirkhan Dzhigirkhanov is at large

Bakanai Guseinova, advocate of the HRC "Memorial", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Dzhigirkhan Dzhigirkhanov, who was kidnapped in Makhachkala on September 16, is now at large and at home.

"I haven't seen him yet; I learnt about it at night, and I'm away today. I only know that he's at home. He was released and told that it was a mistake," Ms Guseinova has explained.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 16 in Makhachkala unidentified persons abducted Dzhigirkhan Dzhigirkhanov, 27, right from his home. In the opinion of his relatives, it was dome by employees of certain power agencies.

"Now, his relatives would not like to tell me by phone the details of the event. So far, I know that he was kidnapped on September 16; they came home to him, handcuffed him, made a search and took him away. He was released yesterday at night," Bakanai Guseinova has explained.
