In Adygea, convicts are accused of applying violence to colony staff

A criminal case has been initiated in Adygea against four inmates of one of local corrective colonies accused of violent actions applied to employees of the establishment.

The press service of Russian ICPO reports: "According to the investigation, on October 5, 2009, in the building of the penal isolator (dungeon) of Corrective Colony No. 1 of the Department for Adygea of the Federal Corrective Service (known as "UFSIN") of the Russian Federation the convicts, who serve their terms in this colony, applied violence to four colony employees, representatives of the power, who were in execution of their official duties."

The portal "Yuga.Ru" writes that a criminal case was initiated against the convicts under part 1, Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, "Use of force against public officer." The "Regions.ru" adds with reference to the press service of the ICPO that the investigation of the criminal case continues.
