DFMS of Archangelsk: Georgia itself delays exclusion of its citizens

Citizens of Georgia Nikoleishvili and Khubunaya have been kept for a long time already in the special detention facility of the Interior Department of the city of Archangelsk pending exclusion from Russia because the Georgian party protracts granting documents required for the procedure. This was stated by Sergey Safronov, senior inspector for special missions of the Department for the Archangelsk of the Russian Federal Migration Service (FMS).

Nikoleishvili and Khubunaya, kept in a special facility for minor punishments in the city of Archangelsk, awaiting exclusion from Russia, have gone on hunger strike demanding to solve their issue and create decent conditions for those who stay detained for long pending exclusion or deportation.

"The problem of the long exclusion procedure is no guilt of our Service or employees of the Interior Department; the Georgian party would not accept its citizens; therefore, problems appeared at the embassy with homecoming certificates. One of these citizens has a previous conviction, and he lost his documents. That is why, they needed such certificates and photos into them," Sergey Safronov said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent and emphasized that in relation to Nikoleishvili and Khubunaya the issue is not deportation but exclusion from the country.
