Ingushetia: Imam of Sunzha District wounded in an explosion

Today, an unidentified bomb blew up under the car of Kosum Meiriev, Imam of the Sunzha District in Ingushetia. The churchman was wounded and brought to hospital.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that religious figures were already attacked in Ingushetia. Thus, in mid-June Abdurakhman Kartoev, who taught religion to young people, was found murdered in Ingushetia after he had been kidnapped by unidentified persons.

The today's attempt was committed at about 11:45 a.m. Moscow time in the Demchenko Street, Ordzhonikidzevskaya village, Sunzha District.

"An unknown person has triggered a bomb, placed in advance under the bottom of the car model VAZ-21099," power agencies have reported and added that Mr Meiriev was slightly wounded, the ITAR-TASS reports.

Meanwhile, according to other sources, the churchman was heavily wounded; this was reported by the website "Ingushetia.Org".
