AI starts campaigning in defence of convicted Azerbaijan bloggers

The international human rights organization Amnesty International (AI) has launched a campaign in support of the bloggers Adnan Gadjizade and Emin Milli, convicted in Azerbaijan to imprisonment on charges of hooliganism.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 11 Milli and Gadjizade were sentenced to 2.5 and 2 years of imprisonment accordingly on charges of hooliganism and infliction of bodily injuries.

A special statement of the AI runs that the young men were convicted under a forged accusation for expressing their free-thinking in the Internet and appeals "to all the people of good will to send demands to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev on immediate and unconditional release of the bloggers." The young men were recognized to be prisoners of conscience arrested only for their peaceful expression of opinion.
