"Gazprom" to build biathlon complex in Sochi without Belarus
The "Gazprom" will erect the ski-biathlon complex in Sochi without participation of the Belarus company named "Triple". The respective amendments have been made in the programme of constructing Olympic objects and development of the city of Sochi as a mountain climate resort.
The press service of the government of the Russian Federation reports that Russian Premier Vladimir Putin signed the decision on amending the programme on January 19. The website of the government says that the item "biathlon-complex", where the "Triple" was marked as responsible executive, was excluded from the programme of pre-Olympic construction, the "Echo Moskvy" Radio reports.
It is also specified that instead of a ski complex to be built by "Gazprom", the gas holding will erect a combined cross-country ski and biathlon complex for 16 thousand spectators. Besides, the OJSC "Gazprom" will be engaged in building the mountain Olympic Village, an access highway and improvement of the territory of the Psekhako Ridge, the "RBC" (RosBusinessConsulting) writes.
