Dymovskiy's advocates to appeal against his psychiatric examination
The advocates of the former militiaman Alexei Dymovskiy, who had placed in the Internet his video appeal to Vladimir Putin, believe that the inspector's decision to appoint a psychological-psychiatric examination of their client is an instrument of pressure on Dymovskiy.
A criminal case was initiated and is now investigated against the ex-major under part 3, Article 159, of the Criminal Code ("Swindle with abuse of one's service position"), which envisions up to ten years of imprisonment. Dymovskiy's defence finds the appointment of his psychological-psychiatric examination unreasonable, since it is usually appointed, at presence of sufficient lawful grounds, for the persons accused of a murder or another grave crime.
"On Friday, we'll write a complaint to the name of the Public Prosecutor of the Krasnodar Territory asking to cancel the decision to appoint the psychological-psychiatric examination of Dymovskiy," lawyer Ukraintsev said today as quoted by the "Gazeta.Ru".
