Dagestan: unidentified persons shell local residents near mosque wounding five persons
Five persons were heavily wounded, when unidentified persons opened fire on a group of residents of Aksai village, Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic reports.
A meeting of local residents discussing religious issues was held near the local mosque. When the event was over, at about 9:30 p.m. Moscow time, two unknown persons arrived in a Russian-made car and opened automatic fire on the crowd of people who were leaving the rural mosque after the evening namaz, the RIA "Dagestan" writes.
Five persons, including the local imam, were wounded and hospitalized in Khasavyurt; the attackers are now searched, the "Interfax" reports.
