Colony official and witness evidence at Einullah Fatullaev's litigation in Azerbaijan
The Garadag District Court of Baku has hosted another court session on the criminal case of already convicted editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Real Azerbaijan" Einullah Fatullaev.
Today, the court chaired by Judge Ismail Khalilov listened to Eldar Ismailov, an operative agent of the Corrective colony No. 12 where Einullah Fatullaev is kept, the "Day.Az" reports.
The colony employee told how narcotic substances were confiscated from Fatullaev.
The Azerbaijani News Agency "APA" adds that Shakhmurad Soltanov also spoke to the court as a witness of the incident.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reported earlier that in the course of the session on April 30 contradictions were fixed in witnesses' words. Thus, Anar Ahmedov, head of the regime-and-supervisory division of the colony, admitted that "prisoners' things can stay without care at night," but stated that he did not believe that "drugs were planted on Fatullaev."
At the session on April 28, Avtandil Agaev, head of Colony No. 12, also admitted while answering the judge's questions that at night prisoners' things remain without care; he did not exclude that something could be planted there. The defence saw confirmation of their client's innocence in these words.
